Joan Briggs

had her first story accepted and published whilst she was at
school - she has never stopped writing! including a  Western
novel.

She has written criticisms of TV series, many natural history
articles and latterly the first and only  light hearted series of
books about living with Bichon Frisé and other dogs.
 

She has always loved dogs,  the sea, the countryside and her  
 garden  -  her writing and poetry reflects this..

Derek Briggs

first started photography  when he was about 6 and  has never
 stopped!

He provides the photographs and computer expertise for
Joan’s books and designs and maintains web sites..
He now designs greetings cards - mainly with a humorous twist!

He has been co-owner of the  largest world wide email
discussion list for Bichon Frisé owners  (BF-L) for 12 years.

Both of them have been leading recruiters and fund raisers for
the RSPB and for the last decade active hands-on volunteers
for Bichon Frisé Rescue (BFR) in the UK.

Derek & Joan have been married  for   40 years and have been owned by Bichons for 20 years.
